It’s the height of the summer and I love every minute of it! I wanted to share a few of my go-to summer outfits. Whether you are dropping off at camp or school, having a family day in the sun, or heading out to dinner to beat the heat, I have a few staples in my summer wardrobe that lean towards a casual and comfortable look.
Drop Off
Most of the time I end up in workout clothes for drop-off, simply because I come right home and walk the dog. However sometimes, I will put some effort in and throw on a simple chambray dress (like this) and slides (similar to these) before heading out the door.
Family Day
I have raved about my Madewell t-shirts before in a previous posts and I feel as though I have one in every color. They are a big staple in my summer wardrobe, especially when I’m heading out for a family day. Pair one of the t-shirts with the most comfortable jean shorts, like these from Guess. Throw on a pair of classic Chuck Taylor sneakers and an easy cross body bag and you’re good to go!
Weeknight Dinner Out
The last thing I want to do is cook in the heat. Sometimes during the week, I take a break from cooking and head out with the family for a weeknight dinner out. While we may just be going down the street and nowhere fancy, I like to add a wedge shoe to make me feel like I’ve dressed up a bit. Once again, I sound like a broken record, I slip on a Madewell t-shirt! Pair that with a flowy pant from O’Neill, like this Johnny Pant, and not only are you comfortable, but you are beating the heat with this flowy summer look.
Whatever your look may be, I thought I would share some of my go-to outfits that I put on during the summer to stay cool and look casual.
